Matthew Draft Completed Today

December 17, 2014 by David and Shari Ogg

Today David finished the preliminary exegetical draft of Matthew. That book alone is 13% of the New Testament. There is still a lot of proofing and checking before publishing but it is always encouraging to finish the draft of another book of the Bible in the Simbari language! Thanks for your prayers!

Matt 28 in Simbari

We’re heading out to the jungle again this week and we’ve uploaded a video that might give you a little feel for what it is like to fly into our jungle location. The video was captured when a GoPro camera was attached to our mission helicopter as it flew out to check progress of repairs to the surface of our airstrip (you can see some of the repairs during the flyover).

A Simbari woman named Simbworoka was Simbworoka in hospitalrecently struck by a falling tree and knocked onto a large rock. We helped arrange a medivac for her to be flown out to the nearest town where she was found to have two breaks in her pelvic area. They are very thankful that God spared her life. This woman was one of the people baptized recently and you will find her testimony on a previous blog entry. Please pray for this family as they are living in difficult circumstances out in town.
