International Day Of Prayer

Sunday November 7 is the International Day of Prayer. Let’s be praying for the persecuted church around the world today

Hello all,

Thank you for your continued support and prayers for us this past week. As I think about our life and compare it to the lives of those who Voice of the Martyrs represent, it seems like what we face here in PNG is so easy. The country is open and sympathizes with Christian organizations and actually appreciates what we do. We have unreached who are asking for missionaries. And while working with a syncretized world view has it’s challenges, it’s nothing compared to what those in closed countries face.

I am not going to post any prayer requests for us this week, because I want to invite you to join me in praying for the persecuted church, and those who serve among them this week. Voice of the Martyrs website has some really good resources for what to pray and how to pray. Their Global Prayer Guide has specific things for each country where the Church of Jesus Christ is being persecuted. They also have some incredible stories of persecuted brothers and sisters and how they are standing strong for Christ in the midst of terrible persecution and suffering. Voice of the Martyrs have also just released a new movie titled “Sabina: Tortured for Christ the Nazi Years.” It goes into theaters this week. It would be worth watching if you can.

As always, we greatly appreciate your prayer and financial support. As a point of praise, I am pretty much back to full strength. So, thank you for praying for me during this time of illness.

I was able to write several devotionals this week. For those interested, I have pasted the links below. Voice of the Martyrs have also put together a 3 day devotional on the YouVersion app, that may be worth checking out this week. I will post that link below as well.
