What Spiritual Gift is God giving me for my growth today, that I can share with others? (Rom 1:11)
1 Sam 12:23 Samuel’s encouragement to the People after appointing Saul: I will certainly not sin against the Lord by ending my prayers for you. And I will continue to teach you what is good and right.
I am so glad that the Holy Spirit continues his work of intercession… as well as instructing and reminding us of truth. (John 14, 15)
Like Chambers said today, “when His Spirit is having His way with us, we live according to His standard without knowing it, and on looking back we are amazed at the disinterestedness of a particular emotion, which is the evidence that the spontaneity of real love was there. In everything to do with the life of God in us, its nature is only discerned when it is past.”
I want to give this gift to those I serve. “Not sin by ending my prayers for them.” Interesting that Samuel considered that he would be sinning if he stopped praying for the people.
What encouraged me in my faith? (Rom 1:12)
Prov 30:5 Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.
I am coming to you today. Your Word promises that we will be staggered by your power (Ps 59:11) What does God want to stagger me/you with today? The Lord is showing me that God has plans to use my parents sickness to do something staggering.
What spiritual fruit does God want to work in me and that I desire to see work among them if I were there? (Rom 1:13)
Romans 4:20-21 Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.
Am I fully convinced? What has God promised? Looking back the past few weeks… what has God spoken to me about? What do I need to be fully convinced about? Don’t waver!
What is it for you?
