Dear friends,
I have been very inconsistent in writing and sharing from my reading. I am sorry. I know I can also get “long winded” at times. I think some of the inconsistency has been because sometimes it takes more time than I have to write a longer devo. I have felt the Lord encourage me many times to keep writing. So, I really want to continue doing this. So, the past few weeks, I have been thinking about making a couple changes to how I write:
- I want to learn to be more concise.
- I would like to try to at least share a verse each day. If the Lord gives me more to say, I will do so, but I want to share at least one verse, and my prayer for you from that verse.
Here’s the verse and my prayer for this morning:
Ephesians 6:10-11 Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
This morning as I begin this day, I recognize that I will ONLY be strong in you and mighty through YOUR power. I acknowledge that in me, there is nothing worth depending on, and that everything is by your intervention and working. I only have 2 sources from which to live my life today. I can choose to walk in the Spirit (with the Father) or I can choose to walk in the flesh (without the Father). You promise that when I choose to walk in the Spirit, I will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. (Gal 5:16)
I pray for my supporters today that they will be strong in the Lord, choose to walk in the Spirit, and find your mighty power working in and through them as the source of their activity today.
We appreciate all of you.
