First Wednesday back at Kids Club! The kids were happy that they could go out again on Wednesday nights to have fun singing, playing games and learning about God at Kids Club. I missed out because I had to go shopping. Today was the first day of the 40 days for life campaign. 40 days of prayer, fasting and community outreach to bring an end to legalized abortion in America and the world. I’m on a modified diet, I started fasting from certain news media and I’ll be going to a prayer vigil outside an abortion clinic. God is big enough.
My heart skipped a beat, Mariah was on the floor crying with blood on her mouth. Poor, sweet, little Mariah fell and cut her lip. We gave her ice water which helped the swelling go down. By the end of the day she seemed better. Thank you God for your protection over our children.
What does Pizza, chips, ice cream and popcorn mean? It means it’s Friday and it’s movie night, yahoo! We watched “Heidi” with Shirley Temple. There were some hilarious moments, “the little monkey episode” and there were some tearful, emotional moments, “Grandfather, Grandfather, …” Shirley Temple was delightful.
It was still dark when I left the sleeping household. As I drove in search of bargains to be found at yard sales, I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance of the new day. The soft golden light of dawn and rosy shades of sunrise greeted my weary eyes and made me inhale deeply and smile. I returned home with grocery bags full of goodies (clothes mainly) for the husband and children to inspect. After lunch we all attended the local fall festival which got off to a good start but ended up being rained out, too bad. We enjoyed the food, entertainment, and fun and games with friends. It is good to know that God is in control.
Sunday we went to a different church. It was an amazing service. We had the privilege of seeing and hearing the group the “Couriers”. We’re praying that God will open a door there for us to speak. Our friends came over Sunday afternoon to see our presentation then we shared supper together. A lovely time of fellowship. A wonderful day of worshiping and praising God.
Monday was fairly routine except Levi does not have school this week. Monday is: Spend time with the kids day. We did puzzles and in the afternoon the girls and I made bead bracelets and necklaces. The kids are doing great! I stayed up late doing thank you’s so didn’t get to bed until almost 1 am.Thank you God for giving me the strength to get things done.
Tuesday is partnership development day, we almost have our newsletter finished, hooray! Thank you for your prayers, please continue to pray that God will raise up the support we need to go back to Senegal. God Bless you.
