Making egg rolls

October 24, 2011 by Dean Hess

The beginning of October was also the beginning of a new group at church – International Fellowship Group. For our first meeting we prayed, sang hymns, got to know each other and made egg rolls. The egg rolls were a big hit! There were approximately 20 ladies altogether so it was encouraging to see a good turnout for our first meeting.

The idea for this group is to reach out to stay at home moms (there is nursery provided), older ladies who are at home during the day, and any other ladies who are at home during the day. We also want to reach out to ladies who are from other countries, ladies who do not have English as their first language. We want to encourage and help these ladies, we want them to know that we care about them.

We plan to meet once a month on the first Thursday of the month. For the November meeting I have been asked to share a devotion on my personal testimony and my personal call to missions. I will also be facilitating prayer.

Here is a picture of the first stage of “making egg rolls”. If you want to see more pictures copy and paste the link to your search engine to go to my picasa ablum.
