Thanks so much for praying for our journey from Asia Pacific back to Texas for our home assignment. We arrived in Los Angeles after about 25 hours of travel and were blessed to spend the night at DJ’s cousin Audrey’s house and get some sleep before continuing on our last flight to San Antonio the next morning. My dad picked us up in San Antonio and drove us the last 2 hours home. It was wonderful to be reunited with family and have a meal at the picnic table under the oak trees together.
Since then we’ve been getting our house set up, swimming in the river almost every day, spending time with family, and continuing our preparations for our two-month trip to visit as many of you as we can. We’d appreciate your prayers that we can get everything together in time, and for the needed finances to cover fuel, etc. for the trip.
Praise the Lord with us that our children have been accepted to attend a charter school here in our area this fall. We pray that they’ll make friends quickly, adjust academically, and get the help that they each need for their learning differences. They are all three enjoying being in Texas and spending time outside, but they are also feeling unsettled and unsure of where they fit in as third culture kids returning to their “home” culture which is in many ways foreign to them.
Thank you so much for all of your prayers. We still need them desperately, so please don’t stop.
