About

In August of 2007 we moved into a remote tribal location to begin assisting the Punan team with the translation project.  We  teamed up with the Punan church and DJ’s sister Rachel to see the Word of God translated into the Punan language.  We served as part of the Punan team until July 2013.

In the summer of 2013, we were asked to consider filling a need for language consultant and orientation personnel for our field’s national language and culture study program.  So we moved to a small city on another island and since then we’ve been helping to receive and orient new families during their first year on the field.  DJ oversees housing and maintenance, sometimes helps with visa processing and other paperwork, and informally disciples others in church and work contexts.  Jennifer does language and culture consulting–giving specific direction and evaluations.  She also does secretary work for our team part time.

We have three children, 13-year-old twin daughters Areli and Galilee, and 9-year-old son Tyndale.  We are thankful that the Lord has allowed us to be a part of what He is doing in Asia Pacific for 11 years so far.
