Once again, thank you so much for your prayers for us over the past month. As we have passed the 10-month mark since the onset of Galilee’s debilitating fatigue and constant migraines, we’re continuing to look for even the tiniest signs of improvement. This past week there were several such glimmers of hope—Galilee was alert and not feeling too bad for several afternoons, and was even able to work on a few online school things for the first time in a very long time. At her last neurologist appointment early this month, her new medication was increased slightly. It seems to be helping to control the aura (vision problems, ringing in the ears, etc.) that come along with her migraines, although the pain levels & frequency of the migraines have not decreased much. Her next neurologist appointment will be November 19.

DJ has made a bunch more progress finishing the interior of our cabin. Just yesterday he hooked up water and gas in the kitchen, so we should be cooking in our own house within the next day or two! We are so thankful to have had the use of my dad & stepmom’s kitchen (on the same property) for the past several months. It has been a blessing to eat a lot of meals as a larger family unit too, after so many years of being mostly on the other side of the world from our extended family.

Over two months after departing from Asia Pacific, we finally finished unpacking the last of the luggage we brought back with us. We’re still gradually working through unpacking the things we had in storage here, but we’ve made good headway with that too. The other day I (Jennifer) unpacked a tote that still smelled like the apartment in Ohio—and the last time we lived there was 2005!

I’m continuing to communicate with a number of missionaries who are currently learning ethnic languages in Asia Pacific to help give direction in their studies, and sometime this week or next I’ll be ‘meeting’ with one of them via video call to give her a kick-off into stage 2 studies. I’d appreciate prayers that it will go smoothly and be helpful, and that the connection will be good. Obviously there is much more room for miscommunication/misunderstanding when you can’t be face to face, especially when talking through somewhat technical and complicated topics.

Thanks so much for praying, encouraging, and supporting us. May God bless each of you. We’d love to hear how we can be praying for you.
