Despite two nights with temperatures in the teens in mid-March and several other near-freezing nights since then, DJ and Galilee have continued to make progress in the garden. We just finished picking asparagus, and tomatoes, squash, and cucumbers are all blooming.
Galilee continues to spend lots of time outside in the garden, as well as working on her schoolwork. She’s still having one or two significant migraines per week, but most of the time she is able to manage them enough to keep functioning. This is more like the way migraines were affecting her before this extreme time of sickness started in December 2020. Her energy levels and ability to focus on things like schoolwork, social interactions, etc. are definitely nowhere near back to where they were before she got so sick, but we’re still seeing progress.
DJ is busy watching lots of tutorials in preparation for his certification tests for his new network administrator role. The IT team has recently lost several members, so they appreciate prayers for figuring out how to cover all of their responsibilities.
We hope to attend our niece’s wedding in Missouri on May 21, and then travel for a couple weeks in Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, and north Texas visiting churches and supporters. Areli and Galilee plan to stay with their Aunt Becky in north Texas during most of the time we are traveling since being in a different place every day/night gets very difficult and tiring for them. Please pray for all of the traveling to go well and that we can be a blessing to each person and congregation we have the privilege of connecting with.
Thanks so much for praying!
