Thank you all for praying for our three-week trip in May and June. Altogether we covered about 2,000 miles in 5 states, shared ministry updates with 5 churches, and slept in 8 different places. At the beginning of the trip we got to attend our niece’s wedding, and at the end of the trip we parted ways while DJ took Tyndale home to Texas for his Geoforce trip and I stayed with the girls in Missouri so that they could attend a missionary kid retreat. Areli, Galilee, and I flew home to Texas on June 8, and Tyndale got home from his trip on his 14th birthday, June 11.
Despite the ongoing hot, dry summer weather here in Southwest Texas, our garden is producing lots of green beans, zucchini, tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, etc. I (Jennifer) came home and started right into canning and preserving projects. We are very thankful for the good well on our property that allows us to water the garden, and we pray that it will keep going strong.
DJ and I continue in our off-site ministries with the IT Department and the CLA (Culture & Language Acquisition) Development Team. I’m starting to write some of the chapters in the Activities Book for the new CLA Program. This book will give explanations and step-by-step instructions for each different language & culture learning activity that will be used throughout the program. The whole team has already put a lot of time and thought into choosing the activities, naming them, deciding which ones to combine and which to separate, coming up with steps, etc. Pray that I’ll be able to get the hang of writing the chapters to take some of the workload off other teammates who have lots of other work right now.
Thanks so much for your prayers and support. God bless you all.
