Hi everyone!
We send our greetings from McNeal, AZ from our “new” home! We thank the Lord for the beautiful home He has provided for us to live in. The couple that lived here before us loved the yard and we have a couple of peach trees, rose bushes, and other flowers sprouting up in different places. The house is so much more than we ever expected! I have fun using our garage door opener! It is so cool to just sit in your car and watch that door go up and down all by itself! Ok, I know that sounds silly but we never had one before.
May 1st while we were in Derby Kansas we were able to help our son move (still in the same apartment complex just into another building) and on the 3rd we ate an early lunch with Dwight’s brother and wife (Doug and Rachel) who were passing through. Then they took off to Texas as we headed to AZ. We were again privileged to have a hotel room waiting for us about halfway…all paid for by a special friend! It was great having a nice clean room to rest in and get refreshed for the next day. We arrived in McNeal late afternoon on the 4th. On the 11th Dwight took off again, this time to the Missionary Training Center near Camdenton MO where he was able to meet the families that will be here for training in September. Before we left Kansas I was telling my daughter…well, we will be in AZ for a week and Dad will have to take off again. She looked at me and said, Well, Mom welcome to your new life! Ha! I think that is true.
We are happy to report that God is supplying for our appliances and we were able to buy a refrigerator, stove and a microwave. (The refrigerator and stove we found at good sale prices, just as we had asked you to pray for. Thank you for praying!) I came home from the office at lunch time today, and as I walked into my kitchen I was so overwhelmed by God’s faithfulness and his love in supplying such nice looking things for us! I stood there and cried a few minutes leaning on my new stove! Women! They cry when they are sad and they cry when they are happy!! All our visitors that have come to our home we have welcomed with open hearts. But there was one that came to visit us just the other day that we did not like and we let him know! He had the nerve to come to our back porch and didn’t even tell us he was there! So when I came out of the back door it was one of those moments where you get so scared you can hardly move but somehow manage to yell for help!! There he was, just sunning himself! He was about 5 feet long and knew how to slither very well. Our co-worker told us he wasn’t the bad kind but I’m afraid a bite from him would throw me over the top of insanity. So we decided not to share our yard with him! I had to keep reminding myself this was just another opportunity to trust the Lord and thank Him for taking care of that big papa of a snake before anyone got bit. Yep, this is me talking, from the USA! Something just seems to be ironic about all of this. We are SOO grateful to all of you who continue to support us financially and in prayer. We would not be able to do our jobs without your partnership with us in reaching the unreached; so we send you our deepest gratitude and know the Lord will bless you in return for your faithfulness to Him.
With our love and appreciation, Dwight and Diana
PRAYER AND PRAISE:
- The final inspection for the plane in Brazil is underway. Pray that it passes this week so that it can be flown to its place of service! Many long years of prayer, work and patience has gone into getting this flight service for a very remote area.
- Pray for wisdom and peace as we assume our responsibilities here at NTMA.
