Week 15 and 16 Bible teaching

June 22, 2011 by Nadia Hattingh

Written last week (12 June), but have not been able to send email for the last 10 days…

Week 15 Bible teaching

Pray for Francois and Phil as they start a new week teaching Bible lessons. Francois is teaching lessons 55 and 56 (of 70) today about the paralyzed man who’s friends lowered him through the roof to be healed, how Jesus called Levi and the sign of Jonah. Slowly but surely we are teaching through the Gospel, building up towards our Saviour’s death and resurrection.

* Please pray that people will not be prevented from coming!

* Pray that a eagerness – yes a thrust! – to hear more and learn more will urge them to come!

* Pray for the protection of each Mwinika that attends the teaching.

* Pray for Phil and Francois as they prepare and present the lessons.

Week 16 Bible teaching and Nearing the end of the Development of the Lessons

Francois will finished the recording of all the Bible lessons this week! Today he was finally able to record, the trial, death and resurrection of Christ! It surly was a battle to get this second last lesson recorded, since things continued to happen and interrupt. But finally the three guys that are helping Francois to develop the lessons, have heard (and understand!) who Christ is and what He has done!! Pray that they will not only hear and understand, but BELIEVE! Please pray too for the last lesson that must bring all this together. Pray especially for sensitivity for this culture and religion, so that people will not be left hanging.

There are only a few weeks left of the public Bible teaching (Phase 1)… Soon the people in the Hendersons’s community will have the opportunity for the first time ever to hear the Gospel. Pray for hearts to change, to believe and accept their Saviour.
