A life lost

June 14, 2012 by Nadia Hattingh

Mourners at a ceremony this morning during which the women get water to wash the corpse.

Unfortunately, MayeApete’s son who was very sick with AIDS, died yesterday morning. Nadia was still well enough to spend time with the family as they grieve (but could not attend the funeral today).

MayeApete is one of a handful of believers in our close community and this is a great blow to her – she was literally holding on to Nadia yesterday as they tried to come to terms with the death. She has been praying day and night for her son’s healing. Can anyone understand the pain of losing a child if you have not gone through it yourself? Pray that the Lord will use this somehow to reach her bigger family with the Truth.

Pray for MayeApete during this time – that she will find her comfort in Christ.
