After several days with the team, Francois returned. He was blessed by one of the team members who brought him all the way to the city on the back of his motorcycle! A mixed blessing, at times, I think. Since the terrain they crossed was a real challenge for someone on the back of a Bike!
It was either muddy or sandy… although Francois feels it could have been worse, since the mud was fairly dry and the rainy season has not started yet. (Imagine!).
They crossed many rivers over questionable “bridges” made sometimes of palm tree logs and sometimes just from sticks cut from the marches.
Here Francois and Kent are embarking to cross yet another river, this time in a rowboat with the motor bike inside. Finally, they reached the ferry to the city. In this way the exit trip was cut from 12 hours to just over 4!
Pray with us for the 2 couples of the Maindo team! The team has many challenges ahead. The Maindo people are as of yet, unreached.
We very overjoyed to have Francois back home! The kids made a special meal and set the table for two of us as a treat!
