May is the month! We wrote earlier that we will start, God willing, with the foundational teaching of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation to those Mwinika who has never heard the Message before during this month..
And now, the time is here, and by God’s grace the teaching will start this next week!
Tomorrow a group will clean the place where the teaching will happen. The Mwinika in our area are anxious to hear the teaching, as they have heard about it when we first taught it in 2011 in the area closer to our partners, the Henderson’s house. A few “neighbourhoods” or areas around ours will be included this time, since no-one wants to miss out! Therefore a central place was chosen on the other side of our closest market (about 2km from our house). It will again be held in the open, under some trees.
Four Mwinika believers have been discipled and trained as teachers. They are very excited to start the teaching next week after having preparing for this event for months! Teaching of any kind is a first for most of them, and after they have helped to develop the material, edit and format it, they had to be trained in how to present the material. It still is a steep learning curve for these men, and we ask that you will especially remember Salim, Vrydag, Jati and Dries in your prayers. Not only do they need clarity in communicating this most important Message, but also protection for themselves and their families. Already Salim’s wife has been sick for more than 2 months after losing their premature baby. Pray for her healing.
