The 30 day fast of the religion of about 96% of the Mwinika started yesterday.
Please pray for those that have learned about God through the Bible lessons and translated Scripture. Although some are just too happy to stop this practice, most continue to do it. Some believers say they fast now, not to get “points” from God, but to show their thankfulness for his Redeemer.
Pray for the whole Mwinika community during this month. The fast is a huge social event that draws people and families together. It also has a huge spiritual significance that can’t be overlooked. Pray for those believers who fast (some only for a few days) with non-believers in order to continue to be able to speak into their lives. Pray for discernment to know where friendship ends and disobedience starts…
