Hope

August 4, 2013 by Nadia Hattingh

We want to share with you Salim’s witness the day after the funeral of his 5 year old daughter:

“We know that death came to this world through Adam’s disobedience. Death is a result of sin, but we know that God has made a Way – only one Way – for us to be Redeemed. We can be saved from eternal death! We belief in God’s Way! We know that our daughter is with Him now and that all her pain and suffering is over. In that we have great comfort. Only, it is very hard for us. We miss our daughter, but we know that she is ok now!”

Salim and Tima are greatly comforted to know that there are no tears, no pain and no hunger in heaven! Tima’s eyes shone with hope when she was reminded that she will see her daughter again…

After attending hopeless, heart wrenching funerals for many years here in Mwinikaland, we can’t tell you how much it encourages us to have attended Nelda’s funeral! Yes, this little girl’s death is a terrible tragedy. But there were an infusion of hope and a great Comfort present at this funeral. Indeed, His very Presence comforted us. For that, we thank and praise Him.

May the witness of Jesus Christ grow in strength under the Mwinika!
