The Lord has been answering our huge need for someone – with the know-how – to come and fix some urgent broken stuff!
Marius and his 10 year old son, Oelof from South Africa, have arrived here Thursday evening after 4 full days’ driving. They also have been able to bring urgent supplies up (that we can’t find here) and we are so thankful for everyone on the SA side that made this possible! Especially thank you to Oom Willie without whom this would not have been able to happen. Thank you for that printer!
Please pray for Marius… the heat has struck and he has to down litres of water each day as not to dehydrate while he works outside in the sweltering heat. Pray for energy and stamina. He has been working mainly on the ambulance (BUV), but hopes to work on Nadia’s quad bike (it’s been standing for a few months now) as well as our dying fridge too before he needs to return. Pray for things to work… the right parts and wisdom how to make things work in a place where there are NO shops or support if something does not work, or wasn’t brought… Pray as time is flying and things are so slow here – Africa time is a reality!
In the mean time, our kids are enjoying their friend Oelof – as well as all the goodies from family and friends! I am so happy with the magazines in Afrikaans to read and the spices to make our always-the-same food a bit more interesting… to name but two of the wonderful things we are enjoying from down south!
We praise the Lord for His provision. He indeed is our Yehova Jire, our Provider, even for “earthly stuff” like transport and freezers! 🙂
