This week we continue with the First Cycle teaching in Acts.
Traditionally, the Chronological teaching material that is developed and used by our mission, ended the first phase with the ascension of Christ. Our context and understanding of the culture here has however lead us in developing the material further so that we continue HisStory to complete it up to the book of Revelation. In this way, we can give them a whole picture, complete from the perfect Beginning, to the perfect new Beginning that God intended for us and this world.
This means that there is still lessons 71-101 left to teach! We asked the group and the leaders from our village who are coming to the teaching if we should reduce the days teaching from 4 days a week to two. They are adamant however that we continue to teach 4 afternoons a week! They are on fire to hear what is next, as they realize that Christ’s ascension is not the “end”, but only signal a whole new era for all who hears this Truth. We are excited and encouraged!
This “marathon teaching” is therefore extended to 30 more lessons. God willing, that means that the First Cycle (as we now call it) will be finished by the beginning of November, just in time for the Mwinika to prepare their fields for this year’s planting.
Francois and the 7 guys teaching and working with him are weary. Pray for them as they continue to seek God’s power in communicating His Word to the Mwinika. Pray that they will be refreshed as they continue, despite a heavy workload.
