Greetings. In our last update we told you about the great witness the believers from our village were when they attended a wedding at the village where “Pablu” has been teaching. And as a result of their good testimony many in that village said they would now like to listen to the teaching. We asked you to pray that they would indeed listen. We just received a report that over thirty people there have asked Pablu to teach them, and he has started teaching them the forty two lesson evangelistic phase of the teaching program. Thanks so much for praying. We hope you are encouraged. But, please don’t stop praying. Satan will be working hard to discourage them from continuing to listen. And if they continue to listen and are saved he’ll work to discourage them from going on. SO LET’S SURROUND THEM WITH PRAYER.
For many years now we have been praying that the Manubu’ believers would be able to start an outreach at a large village we’ll call Uno that used to be the headquarters of a logging company . There are said to be over 200 houses there and that about three fourths of the people there are Manubu’.
In order to start teaching in a village there needs to be a believer who has friends or relatives who live in that village and who can talk with them to encourage them to listen. There are now a couple of believers who can do that at Uno. So, on Monday (Sunday night in the States) a group of Bible teachers from here in our village will be traveling to Uno to see if they can prepare the way for Mahan to start teaching there along with a Manubu’ Bible teacher trainee named Dunlik who is originally from Uno. We are very excited and pleased about this. Please PRAY that God would prepare the hearts of many at Uno to want to listen to the evangelistic phase of the teaching. There are already a number of good-works-for-eternal-salvation groups that have outreaches there.
But, our guys say that there are many people there who are not attending the meetings of those groups and are potential ones they can teach. None of those groups that teach good works for eternal salvation teach in Manubu’, but rather teach in the trade language and English. So, our Manubu’ guys will have an advantage as they teach in Manubu’ which is what the people there really understand.
It’s always exciting to see new evangelistic outreaches starting.
