It is always a delight when we hear of a Manubu’ outreach with God’s Word that is progressing well. A few days ago some Manubu’ believers from our village and other villages gathered together at a Manubu’ village we’ll call Mahay about six hours from us to discuss further outreach with the good news and also to witness a baptism. Twenty three people were baptized. Many live in villages a few miles away from Mahay and have been hiking to Mahay for a long time to first hear the 42 lesson evangelistic phase of the teaching and then beyond that after trusting in Christ’s death on the cross in their behalf for their eternal salvation. Some of them are elderly ladies. Some elderly men who have trusted in Christ’s death were not able to make the long hike from their village the day of the baptism so there will be another baptism. Also among those baptized were a number of young people.
Please PRAY for the group of Manubu’ believers at Mahay – that they will go on strong for the Lord and continue to reach out to other villages with the good news.
We’ve also received word that at another group of Manubu’ believers just a few miles from Mahay there are three and maybe four young, single men who desire to visit other Manubu’ villages where there are not yet believers in order to invite other young people to listen to the evangelistic phase of the teaching, and then teach them. Please PRAY that this will a fruitful, encouraging ministry for them. After seeing people saved, Bible teachers have to keep teaching them until there are those within the group who are able to take over teaching their fellow believers. It is a long process and takes real dedication to the Lord to complete it so we need to support these young Bible teachers through prayer.
We really appreciate all you who have a vital part in what God is doing among the Manubu’ people through your prayers for the Manubu’ and your prayers for us and gifts to us.
