The forecast is for a super typhoon to hit our island on Friday morning (Thursday night U.S. time). It is said to be stronger than the one that tore off our roof and solar panels in December. We are in the city buying supplies so won’t be at our house in the Manubu’ village to protect things from rain blowing in. Please PRAY that our new roof and solar panels will stay on and also for the Manubu’ people – both for the believers and the unsaved. May this display of God’s power encourage the unsaved to listen to the teaching of the gospel and be saved.
When we came out here to the city 250 miles from our village we drove here in our off-road truck in order to get some repairs done on it. We praise God for the safety and help he gave us in driving out from our village – one place looked impossible to pass through because of deep mud and deep ruts from large trucks, but we made it through. Please PRAY that the 50 miles of dirt road to our village will not be made impassable by more mud and landslides because of the typhoon rains. We won’t try to drive back home during the typhoon but will wait until it is over.
We’ve seen God do amazing things with typhoons and turn them aside at the last minute and send them back out into the ocean. Perhaps He will do so with this typhoon.
We’re looking up to Him from whom help and safety and blessing comes.
