Typhoon Aftermath

November 9, 2013 by Gene and Carol Trudeau

We’ve received a number of emails saying that people were praying for us in response to our email about a typhoon coming. Gene was able to talk with Piduy via a prearranged cell phone call earlier today and learned that all our area saw of the typhoon was a little light rain! Bushels of thanks for your prayers. Even though the Visayan islands north of us where the typhoon passed through did get hit hard there was less damage than expected because the typhoon moved on through so quickly.

We plan to start on the drive back to our village early tomorrow morning (Saturday night U.S. time). Our plan is to stay in a hotel (of sorts) on the highway overnight and travel the most difficult part of the trip the next day. The total trip is about 300 miles with much of the last 50 miles what would be called off-road driving. Pleased PRAY for safety, the truck to run well, and for getting through mud holes.
