Greetings. Gene’s pacemaker was “interrogated” this morning by the representative of the pacemaker distributor. It is working properly in all respects. Dr Rocha, the cardiologist who implanted it, took off the bandaging this afternoon and no infection in sight.
Gene has his arm in a sling so it’s a bit awkward. He’s feeling good and walking around. His shoulder is painful when moved, but that’s to be expected. Items for prayer now are that the wires that are attached to wall of the heart don’t come loose. It will take a couple of weeks for the heart to build around the wires to hold them solidly in place. Also pray that there won’t be a stroke in the next few days as the anti-coagulation provided by warfarin is building up in the body.
Thanks to all who have sent notes and it’s great to have a big “family” in the Lord praying.
