Just a quick update. It was decided not to admit Gene to the hospital today. He will be admitted tomorrow morning with pacemaker implantation to take place 8am Thursday morning (8pm Wednesday US east coast time). Thanks for your prayers. Another item to pray for is that he not have a malaria relapse the day the implantation is to take place.
