Its been a whole year!!! since we Left the Home land to live in the colonies:) Hebrews 2 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”So a year has gone by in a flash, but really that’s life, isn’t it? Over the last year we have seen Gods faithfulness keeping our little family in so many ways. We have had lots to adjust to: different weather, different job, different people, different driving, different ways of living, different churches, different citizenship, so many differences, but through it all the one constant was and is Christ the author and perfecter of our faith. Its incredible to think the differences he lived through when he came from heaven to earth, it makes my change in circumstances pale into insignificance! Can you imagine coming from perfection to this earth! But he did it so we could have life! But why did he do all he did, suffer so much? In these verses it says for the JOY set before him – what was that JOY? It was the glory of being seated with his Father. Ultimately that is our joy too we will one day be with Jesus and the Father in Heaven! I pray for each of us that that would be our desire as we run the race Christ has given us!
