Last week at this time we were attending the wedding of two very good friends we made here at North Cotes. The wedding was in Switzerland and we had the privilege of arriving a few days before the actual event so that we could help with final preparations and set up.
As we were working together, I commented to the groom’s mother how amazing it was to see the family all pitching in to help with the special day. Geoff and I both were having a blast working with them.
She pointed out to me how this should be a picture of us as believers working together to prepare for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. I was so impressed by the thought – the fun, excitement and joy that goes into preparing for a wedding – this ought to be the case for us as we work alongside our “brothers and sisters” in Christ in anticipation for that final day when Christ calls his bride home!
Perhaps it will not strike you as deeply as it did me, but I thought I would share how it blessed me. 🙂
