Dear Friends,
Thank you for your continued supporting prayer. Your faithfulness to God is such a blessing and encouragement to us. We certainly appreciate your prayers on our behalf.
I must apologize for being so late with this note. Things have really piled up on us, and we are “digging our way out”.
We are still getting our rental house ready to go. It is so close to being there! The garage storage area is working so well for our book inventory. What a blessing to have tons of books out of the house and a little more room to live!
The MKs & Friends youth have been busy, too! We took them to a Biblical World View conference last weekend, and this week we’ll be having some split session teaching. The kids are learning a lot, and they keep inviting new kids out. We have a group project to help a needy local family going as well. It is good to see them sharing with others.
Member Services is keeping busy making sure that the paperwork we have on file for our missionaries is current and valid-we are working through employment documents at present. These carry a large amount of importance-especially to the US government.
We are also working with several couples as they transition to Retired Status. What a joy to see how God has mightily used their lives. One couple has served in South America for 48 years! Wow! What a lifetime of ministry they have had. Please pray for them as they transition to the stateside culture and find a place to fit in for ministry. This can be a lonely time and frustrating as there are new connections to make, and it just takes time! Thanks for your prayers for us in this important ministry.
Family is coming here for Thanksgiving this year. We are looking forward to watching the interaction our nephews and granddaughter, (and their parents, of course, as well!) Should be a fun time. A beach trip is planned too for nephews who haven’t seen the ocean.
Thanks so much, again, for the part you have in our ministry. You are an important team member and we are thankful to the Lord for you. Please feel free to let us know how we can pray for you, and if we can be a help or encouragement to you.
Have a beautiful Thanksgiving.
Thankful, in Him,
George and Linda Heckman and family
