OCTOBER 2018
Dear Friends!
Greetings from Florida. We have been spending lots of time lately traveling. This has been one busy month!!! We still travel to Fort Lauderdale almost every weekend. The only times we have missed this year was when we were in Michigan to open (for the summer) and close (for the winter) our house there. We had a lovely week there the 3-10 of October as we cleaned up after a flood episode in the house, and winterized the pipes. The color was beautiful and we had times to walk and rest. Thank you, Lord!
George’s Mom and Dad continue to make slow progress. It has been a long road for all of us, and we are thankful they are sticking with it, and moving towards good health. We are still praying for strength, healing, and good attitudes.
This weekend will find us traveling to Tampa after a few days in Fort Lauderdale. We sue enjoy participating in the annual Missions Conference at Calvary Community church. The kind folks there are always so welcoming to us.
November will bring Beka home. She will fly in the 10th for a friend’s wedding, and then Cody will drive in after his classes are finished at Moody Flight in Spokane, WA. They will be looking for a house or apartment to rent while here until August 2019.
Several of the Ethnos360 facilities in the US are really hurting for personnel to help operate. Not only in Sanford, but in Wisconsin, Missouri, and Michigan as well. Please pray for the Lord to raise up laborers to fill in some of these gaps.
They are needed to train, and to keep our missionaries on the fields-taking the Gospel to the lost, with no other chance to hear. Our task of spreading the gospel is not finished, there are still so many, many who haven’t heard that “Old, Old Story” we love to hear. We rejoice that over the past few months we have heard of many tribal works where the people are hearing that story, and responding to the Gospel. What a joy! They would never had heard without a missionary going and learning their heart language, and their culture to explain the message in a way they could understand.
Our missionaries are just Ordinary people, walking with their Extraordinary God. Thank you for praying for them, and for us as we continue to serve the Lord here at the Ethnos360 Home offices in Sanford. Pray for us to handle our responsibilities here in a wise manner, and to be able to serve our members well.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support.
George and Linda Heckman
