Hello! We had a great time in Michigan last month getting the house there closed for the winter! Even had a few days when snow was in the air! Brett and Debby and family came for a few days from Illinois, and we enjoyed them, the kids really loved to see the snow! The boys having grown up in Nicarauga and Florida had never seen snow before!
We had a safe trip. We even got some projects done for the next season.
Another event just before our trip North in October-was a great Missions Conference in Tampa Florida. It was a pleasure to see our friends there, and to talk with them and share our ministry with Ethnos360. It was a good weekend; it sure went by quickly! Thanks friends at Calvary for your prayers and support in so many ways!
Our weather here in Florida has taken a small turn to the cooler side of things! What a welcome relief!
The Flores Family moved over the weekend to the National Training Center just outside of the town they have been living in. Hector will be teaching there for at least 18 months and will continue working on translation projects for the field. One of the interesting parts of their move was getting the refrigerator out of their house! They had replaced the door and frame after they had moved the fridge inside, and the opening was too small to get it out. They took it onto the neighbor’s carport roof, then up to the top of the house-3 floors up! Then lowered it down to the ground in front of the house!!! Wow! What a job. Glad to hear that is still works today!!! They are all moved in and thankful that is done! Latest new on Amy and Hector is that Hector broke an ankle and torn a tendon in his foot playing volleyball. He will be off his feet for awhile. Pray, as he started teaching at the Training Center-The Ranch, on Monday.
We are still helping many of our missionaries through the retirement process. Many of our people are nearing the age to retire and making changes that are not easy for a servant of the Cross. Please pray we can help make this process a smooth one for them.
We are also keeping up on some of our laborers who are just now being able to return to their fields of service with Ethnos360 due to Covid-19. Paperwork, tracking, and address updates keep us busy!
Beka and Cody are in the packing process as they prepare to head to Papua New Guinea in January. Cody has his Visa. They still need Beka’s and both of their work permits before they can purchase tickets.
Peter, David and Joice’s little 1-year old son just began walking on his own! Oh my!!! Look out world! He is such a happy little guy.
Thanks so much for praying for us. For our ministry, and for our family. We do appreciate your care for us. You have been so faithful over the years. We thank God for you!
We love going to Michigan and being where Linda grew up. If anyone is interested! We’d love to have you visit-here or there!! Hope you enjoyt these pictures of one of our favorite places!
George’s Dad continues to do pretty well. He is enjoying having us come down every week that we can. WE always get him up out of the bed, and eat lunch together around the table. He really loves that! Then we play a game or 2 of Yachtzee! Last week he beat us! He has good caregivers, and we are so thankful that he was able to get his dental work done at home (last month-broken implant/bridgework).
As 2020 winds down. We are reminded to pray for the outcome of our country’s choice for President in the US. Also to pray for wisdom as we finish this year with HOPE for a better year next year! We trust that we will see the Gospel message reaching people groups who have not yet hear in their own language that Jesus is the payment for their sin.
Thanks for being a part of out team in this work. We appreciate you!
In His Strength,
George and Linda Heckman
