Updates and answers to Prayer on many fronts! Thank you, Lord!
Hello from the Heckmans!! We have had a busy month or so! We’ll catch you up a bit in a minute.
First, we want to thank you so much for your support, prayer, and care for our family. WE couldn’t be here with Ethnos360 without you being on our team! THANK YOU!
We are rejoicing in Beka and Cody and Abi’s safe arrival in PNG. They have been in quarantine for the last 2 weeks and will be done with that this week! Then they will begin to study the trade language of PNG. They are settling in well and being well cared for by the team there at the center. She has quite a few pictures on Facebook if you want to see them. God took care of them every step of the long, long flight-even when upsetting and unpredictable things happened, they had set their hearts to trust the Lord to take care of what they couldn’t do anything about. He was faithful each step of the way!
We are so thankful for the ability to talk with them with video chats whenever we want. She called me this morning and we talked for a bit. 6 am our time is 8 pm their time. 🙂
We are so happy to see cute pictures from Elena’s #3 birthday party! She and Sofia are growing so quickly! Please hold Amy and Hector up in prayer as they have MANY responsibilities and they have other things that need attention, like heading to the city to get Sofia’s Social Security card and passport updated. They did get an appointment set up for April 8, 2021. She will be 1 next month, and she is sprouting teeth like crazy!
Since Beka and Cody moved to PNG, we have been getting our rental house ready for short term rentals. First renters come this weekend. We have been spreading dirt then mulch. Last week some sod went in. Plus working every evening on the interior to get it all ready. We hope to use this for missionary housing as we are able, as well. We enjoy a “guest House
ministry!
Ethnos360 will have another class taking finishing their training next month. Pray as they do their Partnership development to be ready to move to their chosen fields of service. Some countries are still not allowing missionaries back in to serve. Pray that God will direct these folks as they launch out to serve the Lord!
We still work with folks who are retiring after their many years. We pray that these folks find God sufficient for the changes that sometimes come with going from ministry to retirement. You can join us in that!
Our Ethnos360 home offices have been taking our monthly Coffee breaks together but have moved the location from the chapel to under the trees outside-where there is lots of fresh air and sunshine. We are dealing with the COVID restrictions, but still managing to have times of fellowship with co-workers. We praise the Lord for our fellow laborers here at the Home offices. We continue working from home, but meet with our team often, on the computer.
Thank you for your prayers. Please praise the Lord with us for His answers and pray for the following:
1-George’s Dad is doing well. His surgery was a great success with no problems! He is 5 weeks out from the surgery.
2-PTL that Burns’ family made it safely to PNG and have settled in. WE are thankful for the means to video chat with them often! Pray for them to have wisdom and energy to manage their time well.
3-Wisdom in our work. Thankful our projects with the rental house are almost done, and it is being rented.
4-Tim and Mandy moving Sunday/Monday to North Carolina. He has a job lined up there and were pulling a 36’ trailer from Florida to NC for their home. PTL for their safety and for adjustments in their new home which is close to is brother, David and Joice and nephew Peter.
5- Ethnos360 missionaries headed into ministry changes, new locations, retirement, care for aging parents, etc.
Thanks again for your partnership with us!
With our love and prayers for you!
In His Strength,
George and Linda Heckman
