Nepal: You can do something

April 25, 2015 by Ian and Julie Fallis

NTMIndia2015-100My heart was heavy this morning when heard about the hundreds already confirmed dead in a major earthquake in Nepal.

It is amazing to be in a position to do something about it.

Because of your ongoing support of our ministry, I was able to put together an article and project on the NTM website so people can give to relief efforts. That’s the foundation for getting word out wider, so funds can be gathered and sent to Nepal.

And while NTM is highly unlikely to be directly involved in these efforts, as we were in the Philippines, we will still be looking at opportunities to be involved not only in relief, but in recovery. It’s in the longer term that people see the love of Christ, and see the contrast of that with their own beliefs.

When that happened in the Philippines, villages that had been closed to the gospel opened their doors. You can read the magazine article I wrote about that.

So we can pray together for the survivors, and in the longer term, that this opens doors for the gospel. And you can give to help, because you’ve helped me be in a position to make that happen.

Thanks for your continuing backing of our ministry with your prayers, giving and encouragement.

Join us together as we pray with our Awana Nepal leader and family as they assess the damage in Kathmandu from the earthquake. Awana is discipline 60k children on a weekly basis serving nearly 2000 churches across Nepal.
