One of our instructors showed us his “Sad List” today. It stretched to the back of the auditorium. Each name on the list represents an entire language group filled with people who for the last 2,000 years have died without a chance to hear the gospel in their language.
Here’s a paraphrase of what Paul said about this problem:
For every tribal person who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will tribal people call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are tribal people to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are tribal people to hear without someone preaching? And how are we to preach unless we are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news! (paraphrase of Romans 10:13-15 ESV)
For far too long the church has had too many ugly feet.
This job takes the entire church working together. We can’t and were not meant to be out there on our own. We can all play a part in being beautiful feet to our neighbors and sending beautiful feet to people tucked away in the most remotely isolated corners of the planet.
I just want to say thank you to everyone who has been faithfully supporting us financially and praying for us during our time of training with NTM! Believe me when I tell you all, that this training has been worth it on so many levels!
You guys are such a blessing to us! Every note of encouragement we get means so much! This “missionary thing” only means that we get to be an extension of your hands and feet in places where light has never reached.
Please continue to pray for us as we are daily finding out more info about Papua New Guinea! It’s exciting to hear about specific tribes who are waiting and asking for missionaries!
Because of Papua New Guinea’s sheer level of remoteness, the recommended level of monthly financial support to serve there is higher than any other place NTM serves. We believe God owns all the money and will provide. We also believe that time is an irreplaceable resource, and we want to be good stewards of the time we’re given.
Because we sense this urgency, we are raising our required monthly support now. We’ll be making frequent trips home to share our vision for planting tribal churches and invite friends and family to join our monthly support team.
Many people do not begin this process until after their training is completed. On average, they aren’t on the field until a year later. We would like to be ready to go once we’re finished with training!

Much Love!
