Just another letter from a tribe asking for missionaries to come live with them; I grow weary of telling them we have no one to send. They must feel somewhat like King David felt when he cried out, “No one cares for my soul.” Missionaries we find to send but attrition is high, I grow weary seeing many leave so soon, even before the work is done. “Who cares,” echoes through my mind as yet another man or woman I search and find that will say, “here I am send me.”
Who cares? God cares He sent His Son, Jesus cares He sent out the 12 then the 70 and finish His time here with these words. “As the Father has sent Me so send I you. Go into all the world and preach the gospel.” Yes God cares, look at the message He sent by an angel that night long ago to the lowly shepherds watching their sheep. Break into the story with me in Luke chapter 2 verse 10. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.” Weary, yes but not down hearted God is still moving men and women to the uttermost and beyond, this job will be done. My prayer these days is, Our Father in Heaven great is Your Name, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Oh, by the way, you might want to start with the man or woman next door this message is to “All men.”
