Man can beat out an old piece of metal into a nice looking spear, but he cannot beat out the fear within. The fear that drives him into trying to please false gods in many forms. Animism runs wild throughout the world, tormenting the souls of man. Only the pgospel, the power of God unto Salvation can completely satisfy because there is no other name under heaven whereby a man can be saved.
The name of Jesus, we are told to preach to the ends of the World, the writer of Hebrews asks this question, “How can we escape if we neglect so great Salvation?” “Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.” We have heard the call to go from the lips of Jesus Himself, may we never neglect so great a Salvation and just drift away into thinking someone else will go.
If God is speaking to you from His Word about missions, your heart has been warmed, may I encourage you too, “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and sin which so easily ensnares us, and run with endurance the race that is set before us.”
Do you see the we and the us mentioned in the words from Hebrews 12?
