One Bundle at a Time

June 27, 2016 by Jack and Jane Housley

The people of Papua New Guinea for many years have covered their homes with grass. They lock each small bundle in the right place then tie it down with a vine they use as a rope. It takes many small bundles to cover the house but when the job is done it will withstand a ten inch overnight rain keeping the family warm and dry. A blade of grass by its self can never cover the home but bundled together does a great job; and in like manner one man can never reach the unreached people groups that remain but bundled together we can and will finish this great work.

Pray with me as I look for the right people, not everyone nor just anyone but those that can see the great cloud of witnesses that have gone on before us. Laying aside the weight and sin that so easily ensnares us and run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto the face of Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith who has said. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; an lo, I Am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

I think it would be great if all of us that are saved by the grace of God could get discipled in the things of God, get off the milk of the Word and really observe all the things that Jesus has commanded us to do in these last days. Let’s get bundled up in small groups and make disciples that can disciple others then cover this earth with the good news of the gospel that can save a lost and dying world. Jack
