“Wow, God did it again!” Those were Beth’s first thoughts as she watched our Land Cruisers and Canter head out of the Interface gate to take our 20 July/August Interface students and 4 Hospitality to Goroka for the departing flight last weekend. It is a privilege to walk with God here because we get to see all that He is doing all around us, as well as in us. How could we forget who God is for even a moment with so much evidence all around us! This summer has been full of God’s working! But there is something even more amazing… He has done more that we can’t even see! God has worked in the little things and in the big things… .from providing bananas and tomatoes at the perfect time to revealing the Gospel of Truth to a friend while he was here. It is so amazing to watch God work through so many different people over a long period of time to work out His plan in each of our lives.
We are very grateful that God is in control and He orchestrated the Interface programs this summer. Just being a part of what God is doing is so incredible… thank you all for your many prayers, encouragement and support through this summer! You have also been a part of all that God is doing here at Interface in Papua New Guinea!! We never really knew what would come up each day…. But we knew that God was in it all. And He gave us the wisdom and strength we needed for each day. Jacob worked in the workshop with our Interns and Hospitality getting lots done. Plus working with our Workshop nationals and Security nationals. Beth kept cranking out the meals in the kitchen. Ope, Ragan and Elizabeth came to help just for this summer! God knew that we needed them and they did a great job! What a HUGE blessing!
We had the amazing opportunity to lead a side trip into the Mibu tribe in the Madang region of PNG. We took 7 students to visit Geoff and Shannon Husa and family and the Mibu believers. It was an incredible experience for us all as we saw the power of God’s Word in the lives of the national believers. And we saw how God used Geoff and Shannon and their co-workers to bring 95% of the Mibu village to Himself. Wow! The students had the experience of a lifetime as they flew into a Helicopter-only tribal area on top of a range of mountains, just miles from the ocean. Check out our blog for photos!

“When I think of the wisdom and scope of God’s plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit. And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high and how deep his love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, through it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope. May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages. Amen.” Ephesians 4:14-21
Sherri, an ITF Alumni 1998, in response to an email that Beth sent about her trip here to Interface:
“Yes, I have been to PNG and remember it very clearly. I was at Interface for a summer. That summer my life was changed, which played a very big part in getting me to where God now has me.”
