Hey everyone! It’s crazy to think that in just 33 days we’ll be in a completely different country experiencing a completely different way of life. What a journey this has been for our family! Right now I (Jared) am in Spring Hill, FL on the gulf coast visiting two of our supporting churches and saying our goodbyes to them. Leah and the kiddo’s are back in PA holding down the fort. On June 11, I fly back to PA where we’ll begin making our final arrangements for departure to the field.
Currently, we have just about all our paperwork finished up. The only thing we’re waiting for is the consulate to mail them back to us officially legalized in order to present them for our visas upon arrival at the airport. That was a big prayer request for us as we were slightly nervous we wouldn’t get all of our paperwork completed in time. But God has answered our prayers and we should be receiving our paperwork sometime in the near future.
We have a pretty busy few weeks ahead as we’ll be packing, saying our goodbye’s and even doing a last minute vacation with Leah’s family for the one year anniversary of James death. Please be in prayer for both our families as we’re departing and saying our goodbyes. Also, pray for our family to adjust well and build strong relationships and friendships with our co-workers and Paraguayans alike. We’re excited about this transition, but very nervous in anticipation.
Currently, we’re receiving 96% of our monthly goal. The cool thing about that is that we have a church that is considering voting on us that could potentially boost us to 100% by the time we leave for Paraguay. We’re experiencing such joy and blessing as God has brought together a wonderful support team for our family. We’re praising Him for His provision and faithfulness on our behalf. This last year has taught us some valuable things about what it means to respond to God on a day to day basis, it’s brought us together as a family more, and we’re confident that the things we’ve learned this last year will help aid us in our future ministries in Paraguay as well. Thanks for reading, and we can’t wait to update you on what its going to be like in Paraguay!
