Have you ever heard the stories of the WHINY WORKERS, the ROADSIDE RESCUE, the SHOCKING SERVANT, the WARMEST WELCOME, or the MASTER’S MONEY? Those were the parables that we focused on in Vacation Bible School this summer.
Jared and I had the opportunity and privilege of teaching the elementary kids, grade 1-3 and although we were small in numbers we were not small in enthusiasm and the desire to learn. I, Diana, have taught this group almost every time we have been stateside on home assignment from Paraguay and it was a good change doing it with Jared this year. It is so neat to reconnect with the same kids. One little gal is bemoaning the fact that she will have to move up to the “bigger age group” next year and leave our class.
And, of course, … God ALWAYS uses the lessons to prick my heart and reset my focus on Him. Our “key words” for the week were GRATITUDE, COMPASSION, FORGIVENESS, GRACE, and FAITHFULNESS. By just hearing those words, don’t you wish you had been in Vacation Bible School too?
