Today we celebrate our marriage anniversary – how thankful we are for ALL the years the Lord has given to us! The word we have used throughout our marriage has been … COMMITMENT!
Thirty-six years ago when we said, “I do”, we vowed to be committed to each other. It has been GOD who has kept us anchored to that vow. We could not and cannot do it in and of ourselves. God has been faithful to encourage our hearts to continue on in what HE has set before us, whether in our marriage, ministry, or in life.
And, … it was just as sweltering and humid in Nebraska thirty-six years ago as it was on this date and this year of 2011. I guess the month of July is just suppose to be hot!
