Preparing for the start of a new student body is a lot of work but also a lot of fun. Many activities are planned in order for the staff and students to get to know one another.
As part of the new semester beginnings, there is always great anticipation for our all school picnic at one of the city parks with games, sports, food and fun; but this year the weather threaten to put a damper on the picnic.

As the rain continued to pour down on the scheduled picnic day, plans quickly changed. Board games kicked off our “picnic” in the dining hall while the kitchen crew prepared our supper of hot dogs and brauts, baked beans and chips, and cherry or apple crisp with ice cream. The games and food were enjoyed by all ages and after supper dodge ball and volleyball were played in the gym.

It was good to put names and faces together that we had only seen on paper, and also good to reconnect with those who were returning. Drinking terere with an MK from Paraguay was pretty sweet too!
Pray as we continue to build relationships with these students. We’re excited to see what the Lord is going to do in their lives as they learn more about HIM and HIS WORD.
Nice to see our daughter, Katrina Abbott, playing Dutch Blitz in the top photo. Thank you blessing the students at NTBI as they prepare for future ministry!
