Transitions

June 4, 2015 by Jared and Carol Kresge

Transitions are hard.  Harder for some than for others.  As we transitioned from the Missionary Training Center in Missouri back to Michigan for the summer, we noticed a difference in how our kids handled the move.  Titus revels in change (when he was a baby, his favorite word was “Go!”).  Ivan, however, had a miniature breakdown as we packed boxes, cleaned the house, and said, “Mommy and Daddy are busy,” a few too many times.  And we must admit, sometimes we felt like reacting the same way as Ivan.

Saying goodbye to our small group at the MTC…

We’re not only transitioning locations this summer, but occupations as well.  We’re going from full-time student life to full-time partnership development.  The summer months will be spent catching up with family and friends, meeting new people, visiting supporting churches, and building a team of prayer and financial partners for ministry overseas.  This is a task we have come to appreciate rather than dread.  We view it as an opportunity to invest together in something eternal, and we’re excited about sharing our ministry vision with many individuals this summer!

And one more transition: a new blog!  This is the first post on our new NTM blog, but if you want to read more from previous posts on our old blog, follow this link: On Wings Like Eagles

All to the glory of God,

Jared & Carol
