Please Pray

February 28, 2018 by Jeremiah and April Markley

Dear Praying Friends,

This is not a regular newsy type of update. This is a personal note to all of you who have asked us to send you prayer requests, and have seriously invested time before the Throne on behalf of our Dinangat brothers and sisters in the Lord, as well as those Dinangats who have yet to trust in Him; there are still many.
Satan has not given up his fight for this territory, we are seeing our teachers discouraged and false teachers trying to move in in our absence. Right now, we three missionary families are living off site, and the only way that we can engage in this battle is on our knees. It truly is the best way, and I would ask you to join us!
There is a very specific battle going on right now, with specific names and issues, and I want to share that with you in hopes that you will join our team in prayer.
A couple of weeks ago we got word that a very dear friend of mine, Ote, had died while she was in Lae town getting help for her cancer. This is so sad to me, especially since I hadn’t seen her since around last March. We Rejoice that she was a strong believer and had a wonderful testimony in the village and with her 5 children. The first part of this battle I would like you to pray/fight with me is for her husband. This man left our village when we first starting teaching many years ago. He deserted Ote and the kids, only to be seen every now and then while he did important ‘business’ in town. Right now, he is in the village with his children. Please pray for this man, that the Lord would capture his heart, lovingly convict him of his sin and bring him to his knees before the Savior who wants to set him free! And then please pray that he would truly become a real father to those children who need him so desperately now!

Secondly, Ote was technically from the village 3 hours away whose doors have been closed to the Gospel all these years. Many of her relatives will be in our village this week for the burial services. Please pray that the Lord will use the death of this precious woman to bring many to Himself! Pray that through the falling of this seed, much fruit will grow and the doors of village M. will be busted wide open for the Gospel, and that the Lord would breathe power and revival into those believers who have been discouraged, and that they would RUN to village M. to proclaim the Truth to those who need Him so desperately!

Thank you for Standing and Kneeling with us! We serve a Mighty God who has conquered the sting of death, may His word continue to move throughout this country so that ALL may KNOW!
