October Praise & Prayer

October 12, 2009 by James and Judy Burdett

Praise:

1.  Jim got to PNG and the Dom safely and our house and all has been well taken care of by our guys.  He was able to find everything he needed to set up.

2.  Jim and Gena were able to start right away – finishing the first draft of Jude, Philemon, 2 Corinthians and ½ of 1 Peter.  He is working through the same checking for comprehension with two other guys.

3.  Ilai (Eli), our oldest,  gets to have his daughter Kelli every other weekend overnight and was extended so he has time to take her to church plus he gets her 8 hours on the other Saturdays.

4.  For cell phones in the bush so Jim and I can talk to each other from time to time.

5.  For our support team.  Thank you.

6.  For God’s great mercies, they are new every morning!!!

Prayer:

1.  For continued wisdom for Jim and Gena as they work on 1 & 2 Peter, Matthew, & Revelation.  He is trying a new guy out for comprehension checking, so pray that Are Jude learns what Jim wants.

2.  A job, a vehicle, and a place to live for Heather before we travel in February.

3.  For Jim as he continues to talk to one of the Dom brothers who is at odds with another brother and will not go to church so therefore his family follow in his way.  For reconciliation between these two brothers.

4.  For grace each day for Jim as it gets lonely on his own there in Dom.  For us here so far away.

5.  For the Dom Kakwa church as they are ready to build a new church building, one of our missionaries is going to help them, Lord willing, this month.

6.  For Darren’s plans to go to seminary in January – for the funds, for acceptance.
