Odds and ends
After all the ministry updates, this piece of news seems rather trivial. Our new 12 volt refrigerator arrived a couple of weeks ago and we couldn’t be happier with it. In conjunction with our newly installed solar electric system this fridge runs 24/7. Leftovers don’t spoil, vegies and milk stay good longer. This was not the case in the past with our old kerosene fridge and clunky used 12 volt fridge that had to be shut off at night. This means less supply buying and more time for more important things. In defense of the size of the fridge, it sits on a 13” stand with drawers and has 6 inches at the top that are the compressors and thermostats. Also it is surrounded by about 4” of insulation to keep it cold and run efficiently. Thank you, Lord, for using your people to make this happen.
Our coworkers are on a break so pray that they have a refreshing time and can return ready to get back into Culture and language study.
Next month marks 36 years of marriage for us and companionship in the ministry. The Lord has brought us through some very hard circumstances and we love each other more than ever.
Nothing really new on our family. Brian has moved to Boise and much happier. It is harder to see his children but he loves his job. Pray he can find an affordable place to live. Darren’s wife Katie finished school in May and is much relieved to be finished with that part of her life. Heather continues to work at a home for troubled kids. Darren also works there along with attending seminary. Heather’s plans are up in the air. For now she is working to pay off school loans. She needs a vehicle desperately. Pray she will find the right one. Her last one involved a lot of repairs.
