Three Months to go!

October 8, 2009 by Joe Evans

Greetings all.  The biggest news of the moment is that all of the paperwork is done, the tickets are bought, and I’m on track to return to Papua New Guinea.  It’s amazing that all of my paperwork has gone through so quickly.  Praise the Lord for the privilege of serving again on the foreign field.

So, with 3 months before I leave there is still a whole lot to do.  There’s the matter of training my replacement here at the Home Office- a process that is going well by the way.  Also, I need to begin to think about what to pack and what to leave behind in the USA (most of everything, really).  And there is the matter of buying various needed items in New Guinea before I arrive- things like furniture, appliances, and a motorcycle.  Please pray for the Lord’s provision for these things and for other expenses.
