Thursday we got the pleasure of meeting Roger and Fredine for the first time. Roger and Fredine are Haitian Missionaries (the first Haitian Missionaries) who have been in Senegal now for 3 years. They live in a city called Thies which is about an 1 or 2 from Dakar. He works with the local church in Thies and heads out into villages to do condensed training seminars. On Thursday, they rode the bus in to Dakar to come have lunch with us. It was pure joy to spend time with them and to get to know them more. Roger challenged us with the importance of being on our knees in prayer. This is already something that Joel and I have been learning during our time here in Senegal, but it was a good reminder. We are so excited to continue to get to know them more as our time in Senegal continues. They are amazing people, who have a strong desire to serve the Lord.
That is really wonderful that you were encouraged and got to spend time with Roger and Fredine. We have prayed for them through hearing of them through Haiti.
