The Lord Provides

May 9, 2012 by Joel and Andi

Ethan: Mom our drinking water is out, what are we going to drink today?

Me: God provided us with lots of water last night, so it’s not going to be a problem.

Ethan: I want to go and see what God has done

Me: Well lets go look at our tank full of water.

Ethan: Cheers of joy that I only wish you could have heard.

God gave us 650 liters (175 gal ) of water last night, compared to 30 liters the night before.  On top of that there were no leaks in the tank set up by Joel.  We are celebrating today with doing the dished and laundry and it is truly a celebration.

Days without water – Painful

Letting our children watch as the Lord provides – Priceless

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS!!!

You teach me to thank God even in times when I feel I am in a spiritual draught. I do know that God will provide. I just need to wait upon him. Thank you for the reminder.

What an answer to prayer! The Lord is so good, and right on time, too. What a wonderful lesson for Ethan in trusting the Lord! I hope he never forgets. May our Lord continue to bless you in His ministry through you!

“Come, all you who are thirsty,
    come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
    come, buy and eat!
    Come, buy wine and milk
    without money and without cost.
2 Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare.
    3 Give ear and come to me;
    listen, that you may live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
my faithful love promised to David.
    Isaiah 55 1-3

Dear Daughter we come with you to the living water, we listen and then we delight in the righest of fare. Satistfied in the Lords presence and provision.

Dancing with you and my grandsons
    Love Mom

Imagine how parched those are who have never heard of God’s salvation. Their tank is empty. And God gave you the hose to take to them so they can watch His work. And when those shriveled up people drink and come to life, we will all be dancing like you and Ethan. We will shout for joy! Thank God He is proving His mercies to you day by day.

Thank You, Father, for Your perfect timing – to not only provide an abundance of water but to build the faith of this precious family to boot!

I won’t feel so bad when I do the laundry the next time because it will remind me of what GOD has done for you. I am getting pretty good a laundry, changing the bed, cooking, doing dishes, cleaning the house, etc, since Jessie broke her foot February 27th. We go to the doctor May 30th to see if the fracture has healed. We hope so!!! We both praise GOD for what HE has done for you. Andi, you do such a wonderful job of keeping us informed. If you ever get a few minutes of spare time, you should try writing. In the mean time, be sure to keep a good journal. We love you, Joel, Ethan, and Tyler. GP & GM

When God brought his people out of Egypt, they wandered for three days looking for water and found none. God knew where the water was, but he didn’t lead them that way. Then he brought them to water and it was too bitter to drink. Then God showed Moses a log which he threw into the water and it was purified. God told them to learn from this. Keep seeking me and my ways. I will provide for you. And then . . . “Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they encamped there by the water.” Exodus 15:27

You and your children will understand this more than most. I cherish every way God is making himself and his power known to you even as I anguish with you along the way.

    I love you all.

Can I see the filled water tank? With kids dancing on it?:) It’s so fun that you can just walk outside and look at and bath in God’s provision.
    P.S. I’m on kleenex #5.

Praising God with you! This is how our faith grows – and how our children grow deep in faith. That is one priceless gift that missionary kids “inherit” from their parents – faith that is seen in answered prayers. They will never doubt God exists. Of course He does, he filled our water tank in the night! Cheers for God who works the night shift filling water tanks. Yeeaaaa God!

Our God iis Mighty to Save!!! Yesterday as I prayed the Lord kept bringing to mind the miracles of the waters rising up in the desert for the children of Israel and I prayed that those tanks would be filled like that! And, lo and behold…!!! The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is the same yesterday, today, and forever! Blessed be His Name! We will continue to lift you up to Him!
