Today Katie and I leave for a weekend women’s retreat that is hosted here annually for all those who work in Senegal. It couldn’t come at a better time for us.
How I Feel as I leave for Retreat?

What am I Excited About
- Being fed from God’s word in a language I fully understand
- Singing worship songs in English outside my home
- A long hot or even warm shower
- My first hair cut since moving to Africa
- A weekend without stepping a foot into the kitchen
- A break from French
- Fellowship with others who understand the struggles of life here
- The beach, a pool and time to relax
- AC – Bring on the cool air!
